Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer

Hello everyone!!

I got this concealer at the Toofaced booth when I went to Genbeauty Toronto last month. I didn’t realised that this concealer hasn’t been released to the market yet until I watched a couple of youtubers talking about it. So the release date for the Born This Way Concealer is on June 15 2016 and will be available on the Two Faced website and at Sephora at a retail price of $38 CAD. It is also available  in 10 different shades from Very Fair to Deep; and according to the information on the website, it is

  • Oil-free
  • Infused with Coconut Water which helps delicately to replenish skin’s moisture levels without over hydrating; and with the resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity
  • It contains Hyaluronic Acid which provides long-lasting, skin-balancing hydration for a smoother, more youthful appearance

So far I like this concealer for so many reasons. First of all, it is the correct shade for me, which is plus. I got it in the shade Deep. Secondly, the consistency is neither too thick nor too runny, it is just right, which makes it easy to apply. Thirdly, it does cover my undereye dark circles and doesn’t settle in my fine lines as much. And lastly, it has a pleasant smell to it and the packaging is Gooorgeous!!!

In conclusion, I love it!! It is my second favorite concealer aside from my Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer. Although it is pricy, but I think it is worth the price. Based on my experience with the concealer, I am really considering trying the Born This Way Foundation.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and thanks for reading! Until next time…

MOTD: Full Face Using Only Highlighters Challenge

Hello guys!!

I love a nice higlighted or a nice glowy face. So when I found out about this challenge on youtube and instagram and I had to try it. To complete this over the top glowy and highlighted look, here are the products I used:DSC_2587

I primed my face with the Benefit Porefessional Primer.

I color corrected with the L.A Girl Pro Conceal Orange Corrector

I mixed the Hard Candy Glow All The Way in the color Glamazon Bronze with a little bit of my Bh Cosmetics foundation.

Then, using the E.L.F. Shimmering Facial Whip, I highlighted  underneath my eyes, my forehead, the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow and chin.

I then used my Marilou Manizer Highlighter as a setting powder.

I also used my Wet n Wild Shimmer palette in the color A068 Sand Gria Castles

For my blush, I used Hard Candy Baked Blush in the color 125 Living Doll which is more of highlighter than a blush to be honest.

Eyebrows-  Wet N Wild Eyebrow pencil in Simma Brown and the Maybelline Clear Mascara that I use as a eyebrow gel

For my eyes,  I applied an Essence eyeshadow in the shade 21 “Keep Calm and Berry on” in my crease, and my favorite gold eyeshadow by L’Oreal in the color 825 Gilded Bronze on my eyelid.

Mascara – Rimmel London Wonderlash Mascara with Argan oil

Eyeliners – Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black

On my lips, I have Colourpop liquid lipstick in the color More Better and topped it off with the MariLou Manizer highlighter.

Here I am upclose…

I like how the look turned out, although I would not wear this look on a daily basis, but it was fun to do!!!

I hope you enjoy this post guys, until next time!!

MeNow True Lips lip pencils

This post is a swatch and review of the highly talked about MeNow lip pencils. Right off the bat, the colors are so nice and pigmented. The colors were divided into 2 groups of 6, here they are:

Group 1DSC_25291. Color 050 which is like a peachy pink

2. Color 054 is like a pinkish nude

3. Color 058 is red

4. Color 051 is like a mauvy pink

5. Color 052 is peach

6. Color 059 is like a pink with red undertone to it.

Group 2DSC_25271. Color 060 is like a magenta or fuscia pink

2. Color 053 is a nude

3. Color 055 is a dark red

4. Color 057 is a true pink

5. Color 056 is a bright orange

6. Color 046 is a brighter pinkish nude

My thoughts about these lip liners is that they are great for the price that I paid for them… I mean… a box of 12 lip liners for only $1.51 CAD with no shipping is unheard of. As for the quality, they are soft enough and are easy to apply. I ‘m not gonna say that they are the best, but they are good enough. My favorites are the darker shades, because I find that they are easier to apply. My least favorite are color 053, 052, 056 and 046 because the application is a bit patchy. Would I repurchase them?  No. Essence has some great affordable lip liners that I absolutely love.

Let me know if you guys have tried these lip liners and your thoughts on them.  Thanks for reading…. Until next time!

Inside My Ipsy Glam Bag – May

Hello Everyone!

Happy Wednesday!!

I received my Ipsy Glam Bag on Monday and I am so happy with this one! 🙂 Lets take a look, shall we?

These 3 sheet mask are from a Soo AE (never heard of this brand before), but I am excited to try them. According to Ipsy’s website, these sheet masks are specially formulated for amazing firming and brightening effects to revitalize tired, or stressed out skin.
Again another product that I will be trying out soon. I will keep you posted on how it works…
I already have this exact mascara from Smashbox when I went to genbeauty Toronto last month. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think I will give this one to my mother.
This is the second eye shadow brush I received from Ipsy. Once again, I never heard of the brand prior to. I will be using it to pack up glitter when I decide to create MOTDs with glitters. The bristles on this brush are really soft by the way.
This is the product that I am most excited about. It is the Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut eyeshadow trio. The colors are Crush (beige), Skinny Dip (light brown) and Lovely (dark brown). Here is a swatch on how the look on my skin:

DSC_2513As you can see, they are not super pigmented, but they can easily be worked with.

That’s it for this post guys!  Thank you for reading, liking and commenting! Until next time!

Finding the Perfect Primer: Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser

Hello again everyone!!

This review is a quick review for the Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser. I know that I’m late on this bandwagon, but I don’t just like to purchase products when they first come out and everyone is raving about them; I like to wait a few months. I believe that if a product is really good, people will still talk about it and recommending it a year or two years after the product has been released… I have seen quite a lot of reviews for this primer and it has been on my wishlist for quite a while. Since it is a little pricey in Canada, I decided to buy it at Target in the States for $5.99.

I can say that I’m happy I decided to try this primer and now it’s my #1 Go-To drugstore primer. It is clear in color and has a thick and soft texture. It is not a pore filler like some of the other primers, it only blurs them out.  When applied to my skin it blurs out my pores and makes my skin feels as smooth as baby skin!!

How I apply: I use a small amount on the areas where my pores are larger and rub it in. Then I let it dry for a minute or two before applying my foundation.

There are many mixed reviews about this product, but I personally love it and I  have not had any allergic reactions.

That is it guys! Thanks for reading… until next time!!

ProFusion Waterproof eyeliner

Hey Guys!!

I picked up these eyeliners during one of my trips to the States back in March. I was browsing the make up section at Five Below and I found these and I decided to give them a try.  These eyeliners came in a set of 6 per box and each box cost less than $5.

I have never heard of this brand prior to purchasing these eyeliners. They apply very easily and are very pigmented. Here is a swatch along with their name:

DSC_2533 Color 1 is called Gold

Color 2 is Gunmetal

Color 3 is Plum

Color 4 is Rose Gold

Color 5 is Black

DSC_2532Color 1 is  Silver

Color 2 is Forest Green

Color 3 is Creamy Beige

Color 4 is Bronze

Color 5 is Teal

I absolutely love these eyeliners, not only for the price, but for how pigmented they are and they are waterproof. I plan on using them as both eyeliners and eyeshadows. Since I am not too familiar with the brand, I would like to know more about it. Let me know if you guys have tried any products from Profusion, if yes, did you guys like it, hate it?

Thanks for reading this post, until next time!

ABH Brow Contour and Color Event

Happy Monday Guys!

This past weekend I had the chance to go to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Contour and Color Event at Sephora Square One in Mississuaga. Although I didn’t get to meet Anastasia, but I had fun. I was able to try the ABH powder contour kit and the ABH Glow kit (not sure which one), but my highlight was poppin’!!

Also, many people were complimenting me and asking what I am what lipstick I am weraring. It’s nothing fancy, it’s a combo of these 2:DSC_2507 Essence lip liner in the color 15 Honey Berry and the Maybelline Colorsensational High Shine Lipgloss in the color 100 Raspberry Reflection.

That’s it in a nutshell!

Eye Shadow Palettes from Ebay and Aliexpress

I purchased  these eye shadow palettes from ebay and aliexpress back in the beginning of last year, when I started learning and experimenting with make up. What I love about these palettes is how pigmented the eyeshadows are and the price. For just a small price you get a lot of eyeshadows; but the downside was that the shipping time was quite long.

Here are the palettes I bought from Ebay:

The 12 shimmer eyeshadow palette. It contains a mixture of gold, pink, purple and black etc… It was only $4.49 with free shipping.DSC_2408

…and the 28 nude color palette. This palette is mixture of shimmery and matte eyeshadows. It only cost $8.88 with free shipping.DSC_2324

As for the 120 eyeshadow palette, I bought it from aliexpress for only $12.49 with free shipping… And look at these gorgeous colors!!DSC_2317

They came in these generic, not-so-fancy black cases with no name on them. They were in fact shipped from China, although I’ve read and seen so many reviews of people recommending not to purchase makeup from China because we don’t know what is in them. I find that a bit ironic because most makeup products are known to be made in China anyways.  Ithink these palettes are great for beginners, as well as for make up artists.

Thanks for reading guys. Let me know if you guys ever purchased any eyeshadow palettes from either ebay or aliexpress, or even amazon…. Until next time, stay beautiful!!!

P.S: I will be posting a swatch for all three palettes soon!

Experimenting with colors MOTD: Fairy Dust

Hello Beauties!

Like it says by my title, I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and experiment with color eyeshadows other than neutral colors, such as the blues, turquoise, yellows, reds, etc… I originally wanted to create a look using yellow and purple without it being tacky; but I really how it turned out. It looks like I added fairy dust to my eyes!

Here are the products I used:

Primer – Maybelline Instant Pore Eraser

Concealers – L.A Girl Pro Conceal Orange Corrector to color correct and L.A Girl Pro Conceal Cool Tan to highlight

Foundation- Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in Coconut

Eye Shadow Primer – Essence Eyeshadow Base

Eyebrows-  Wet N Wild Eyebrow pencil in Simma Brown and the Maybelline Clear Mascara that I use as a eyebrow gel

Mascara – Rimmel London Wonderlash Mascara with Argan oil

Setting Powder – NYC Loose Face Powder

Face Powder – Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder in Coconut

Blush – New York Colors Cheek glow in the color NoLita Pink

Contour kit – Nars Contour Palette in the color Gienah

Eyeliners – Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black

Highlighter – Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights

For my eyes,  using my 120 Eyeshadow Palette purchased on Aliexpress…DSC_2313 editDSC_2315 edit …I applied color 1 all over my lid as a transition color; I then applied color 2 which is a shimmery mustard yellow all over my lid as well; then I used colors 3 (black) and 4 (purple) to create a not so dark smoky effect, and lastly, I applied colors 5 and 6 which are shimmery yellows on the inner corner of my lid . On a side note, All the colors I used were shimmery except for color 1, which is a matte light brown.

This picture was taken inside
this one was taken outside using natural light…

I hope you guys enjoyed this post… Until next time!
